HOOK2

In late 2017, Lowrance launched its HOOK2 series of fishfinders/chartplotters. These new units boast numerous high-end, easy-to-use features, yet at a surprisingly affordable price. The key feature of the HOOK2 line is Lowrance Autotuning, which actively corrects the CHIRP sonar settings for the clearest underwater view. So if you’re not an electronics expert, that means more time fishing and less time scrolling though menus to make manual adjustments to your settings. Higher-end units include side-scan and down-scan imaging, and even the smallest model has a wide-screen display. Most models also feature full navigational capability and pre-loaded, high-detail mapping. HOOK2 units come in 12-, 9-, 7-, 5- and 4-inch display sizes, ranging from US$99 to US$1,499.
