With generous limits and no shortage of birds, central Alberta offers a great spring hunt for snow geese. But be forewarned: These birds are wily, having already been hunted up and down the flyway. That means you’ll need lots of decoys, including motion decoys, and electronic calls. Staying well hidden is imperative, so layout blinds are the norm. Expect Ross’s and blue geese, too. The Alberta Professional Outfitters Association can help plan your hunt.
