Many anglers believe a new world-record muskie is swimming in central Ontario’s Upper French River. And according to Steve Neidzwiecki, who operates the five-star Chaudière Lodge, the first major window of opportunity is the last half of July. Casting big #10 double-bladed Cowgirl-style spinners has accounted for many of the giants, but trolling big-lipped crankbaits is an overlooked summer option.
