Okanagan Valley
Southern B.C.’s 180-kilometre-long Okanagan Valley is celebrated for its warm weather, lush orchards, wonderful wineries and, more recently, smallmouth bass. Four-pound fish are so common in the valley’s numerous lakes they barely get a second look, and 40-fish days are typical. Last fall, the area produced a 9.4-pound smallie, almost breaking the Canadian record.
