Big fish, big bait
Griz’s method for targeting roosterfish is simple, and effective, but the hook-up itself requires some skill. He slow-trolls a one- to two-pound live baitfish, with just a circle hook in its top lip. Not only is this an enticing presentation, where the bait is allowed to swim fairly freely, the circle hooks ensure a safe release of the roosterfish.
