The lakes around Dauphin, Manitoba, boast some of the best fishing opportunities for yellow perch on the continent. Gigantic Lake Manitoba is outstanding for numbers of 10- to 12-inch perch, and 100-fish days are common. Expect fewer but much bigger fish in Lake Dauphin, where it’s harder to catch a striped bandit under 13 inches. Guide John Boyd can show you where to drill.
