136 harvested wild ungulates from 2016 that have tested positive for chronic wasting disease under Alberta’s CWD surveillance program. As of mid-February, roughly 4,200 animals had been tested, with 1,000 more to go. The number of positives already surpasses 2015’s total of 116 out of 4,929 animals.
