Why we chose it:

Mackerel; Lots of fish

When to fish: During the incoming tide and as it subsides, from mid-June to mid-August.

Where to fish: Fish from public wharfs, or work bays and tidal river areas from a boat.

Tip: Cast mackerel jigs and cutbait from shore, or troll mackerel flies or spoons tipped with bait.
