Complete Fly Fishing Kit
For its 30th anniversary, Canada’s Superfly has introduced a kit with everything a novice needs to start fly fishing. Included is an 8½-foot, 5/6-weight, four-piece rod and a large-arbor reel loaded with backing, fly line and leader. There’s also a cap, rod sock, fly box with six classic flies, and a tri-lingual instructional DVD.

Sage has produced this medium-fast action rod using its Generation 5 graphite fabrication method, as well as its Konnetic energy-transfer technology. The ACCEL series is available in line weights three to nine, and lengths of 7½ to 10 feet. The look of the emerald green blanks, and the softer casting stroke, will carry you back in time—and let you throw tight loops, even into strong headwinds.
New company Bozeman Reel has been creating a buzz, adding a third line of reels for 2015. The M1 Series are beautifully designed, well-made reels harkening back to the Hendryx-type reels from early last century. Features include an exposed rim, cocobolo handle and click-and-pawl drag system that converts to either left- or right-hand retrieve.

Scientific Angler’s slick Sharkskin line was revolutionary, and just as ground-breaking is the tackle maker’s new Sharkwave. The tip and belly feature Sharkskin’s texture for better flotation, while the running line sports a slicker surface allowing it to shoot further. A unique feature is the “Tactile Reference Point,” a smooth section between the belly and the running line that cues casters when it’s time to start double hauling.
