Late this past August near his home in Hinton, Alberta, Matthew Ritchie was bowhunting from his treestand when this nice bull elk came charging in to investigate his bugle call. “Almost immediately, I had a response,” Ritchie says. “A huge bellowing chuckle made chills run down my spine.” A short time later, the hunt was over, just one hour after sunrise.
