In this episode of Blue Fish Radio, producer/host Lawrence Gunther talks to Jessica Weir (above left), a PhD student in environmental sciences at Indiana’s Ball State University, and Nate Roman (above right), Partnership Manager with Fishbrain. (Fishbrain is a mobile app and online platform for anglers with map-based tools, social networking features, fishing forecasts and more.) The three discuss how researchers, such as Jessica, are using data from 250,000 anglers, and more than four million catch logs, to reveal invasive species superhighways. They also talk about the steps Fishbrain is taking to better inform anglers about the spread of invasive species.
