Expert tips for training your dog with automated launchers

I hate to admit it, but my dog knows exactly how far I can throw a training bumper—early on in his training, he would stop searching after 30 metres, figuring dead birds simply don’t land any further out than that. During actual hunts, that restricted his search radius and lowered his confidence for longer retrieves.
