Four simple steps to avoid tossing freezer-burned game meat

If you’re lucky, the damage will only be on the surface of the meat. In that case, simply trim off the freezer-burned areas the same way you’d remove silver skin. You can even do this with ground meat while it’s still partially frozen, making it easier to handle. This is also the time to remove any skin or fatty areas that may have gone rancid.
