The Ridge Rattl’r lipless crankbait from PK Lures is a year-round lure that every dad should have in his tackle box. I’ve used these lures with great success both ice fishing and in open water. What sets them apart from other lipless cranks is a unique weight-forward design that makes them drop fast and swim erratically when moved up or down. They also have an internal rattle chamber, so when jigged vertically or retrieved they create fish-attracting sound and vibration. If lifted vertically when ice fishing or while in a boat, they will dart erratically, but always circle back making it easy to see them on your electronics.
