WEE WALLEYE
Not far from that bass spot, I have another dink destination where I can count on catching walleye. There are few guarantees in fishing, but landing numbers of fish there is one of them. The walleye are typically only 12 to 14 inches long, but they give me immediate feedback when I want to test a new lure or tactic. The spot is so reliable, in fact, that I sometimes stop there on my way to find big fish so I can gauge the activity level and select my presentations accordingly.
