The ride-on design provides more control and balance in steep and uneven terrain, while delivering serious off-trail capabilities. These machines are also light enough that you can lift one side by yourself, making them easier to get back on course if needed.
You may still want to consider a two-up quad (or small UTV), which gives you the option of bringing along a travel companion.
