ROAD TO THE RIVER

Several years ago in our big “Fishin’ Musicians” hot spots story we profiled Canadian banjo slinger an avid angler Chris Coole, who shared his fave fishing destinations. Coole has just released his third solo album Road to the River—a collection of 14 tunes and songs inspired by his fishing passion.
Coole (above) says: “One day, about 18 years ago, I was driving north from Toronto to the Credit River. I had The Band’s second album cranked, and it struck me how much I love listening to music when I’m on the road to go fishing. It’s a prelude to the day ahead, and it can really set the mood. The music on this album was inspired by fishing and the places I’ve been lucky enough to fish.”

In addition, 100% of the profits from the album go to benefit community-based water group The Elk River Alliance.
