To help celebrate its 500th anniversary, Beretta has introduced a waterfowl semi-auto that borrows design elements from the tactical shotgun world. The gas-operated AX800 will initially be available in 12-gauge, with a 3.5-inch chamber, 28-inch barrel, fully adjustable stock and black or camo finish. It will also include the OCHP choke system, a Kick-Off Pro stock for reduced felt recoil and large controls for ease of use with gloves.

MAVERICK SA

Known for its reliable, budget-friendly shotguns, Mossberg ticks all the boxes with its Maverick 12-gauge. The gas-operated semi-auto is available in walnut- and synthetic-stocked models, both allowing for easy length-of-pull adjustments. The 28-inch ventilated-rib barrel features a front fibre-optic sight, while the Accu-Choke system includes five choke tube options. The Maverick handles both 2 ¾- and three-inch loads.
