Ontario’s Lake St. Clair holds more muskies per acre than any other Canadian lake, and many of those fish follow dense schools of shad into the Detroit River each fall. That’s where I had one of my best-ever days of muskie fishing, thanks to Windsor guide Jon Bondy—we boated 11 fish, with four topping 40 pounds. Both Bondy and Handlebarz Musky Lures founder Mike Parker are excellent guides.
