Blue Fish Radio: Canada has an important role in rebuilding marine fish stocks

Outdoor Canada is pleased to present Blue Fish Radio, podcasts about the future of fish and fishing in Canada. Produced and hosted by Lawrence Gunther, the program is dedicated to sharing first-hand angling knowledge and scientific discoveries, and supporting local champions who protect and enhance our waters.

Conservation organization Oceana Canada believes that if managed properly, the world’s oceans could supply the world’s population with sustainably harvested wild fish. At the organization’s recent Rebuilding Abundance symposium, over 140 experts and stakeholders discussed Canada’s potential, opportunities and needed investments. Blue Fish Radio producer/host Lawrence Gunther was among those attendees. There, he recorded this fascinating conversation with Oceana’s science director, Dr. Robert Rangeley (above), about unlocking Canada’s potential for abundant oceans.
