Blue Fish Radio: Why it’s essential to promote and protect recreational fishing in Canada

Outdoor Canada is pleased to present Blue Fish Radio, podcasts about the future of fish and fishing in Canada. Produced and hosted by Lawrence Gunther, the program is dedicated to sharing first-hand angling knowledge and scientific discoveries, and supporting local champions who protect and enhance our waters.

The Canadian Sportfishing Industry Association and Canadian National Sportfishing Foundation are non-profit organizations comprised of manufacturers, retailers, distributors and sales agencies dedicated to the promotion and protection of recreational fishing in Canada.

In this episode of Blue Fish Radio, producer/host Lawrence Gunther speaks to Rob Walton, the president of the CSIA and the CNSF (and Pure Fishing’s general manager of Canadian operations). In a wide-ranging conversation, they talk about the role of industry in supporting conservation, giving voice to public fisheries across Canada, and promoting the mental and physical health benefits of fishing to the ever-growing number of people learning to fish.
