I’m on our family vacation in Sea Isle City, New Jersey (that’s on the south Jersey coast, just south of Atlantic City). We’ve been coming down here the past three summers, meeting up with our friends Richard and Karen and their two boys from Philadelphia. The fishing game out in the chuck at this time of year is summer flounder, or fluke, but darned if I can catch one! Instead, I’ve been landing piles of these sea bass on bloodworms (see photos below). I also caught a sand shark yesterday. Any idea what species the two smaller fish are? They keep stripping off my bait!
