Fun and Games at Saskatchewan’s Lloyd Lake Lodge: Last Day

I’m sitting here at the Nova Hotel in Fort McMurray with Keith Aulie, Matt Getzlaf and Dan Miguel, looking over some photos from this morning, our last few hours on Lloyd Lake in neighbouring northern Saskatchewan (scroll down for a few examples; that’s Keith and Matt in the boat picture, top left). This morning, Dan and I set out to hit the northern pike, but ended up tagging a whole bunch of four-pound-plus walleye. Can’t complain about that. We did find some big snakes, though, so we left Lloyd more than happy. I’ll work on a complete wrap-up in the next few days, but in the meantime, many thanks to everyone at Lloyd Lake Lodge for a great few days. Let’s just say I got my walleye fix for the summer!
