#5  BIOFUEL STOVES

Also known as twig stoves, these are popular because they burn free fuel (mainly wood) and require less effort than a campfire. Plus, they burn hot and can boil water or cook food using just a few sticks. Most biofuel stoves also accept an alcohol burner or solid fuel tablets as a backup. On the downside, they can be heavy and bulky, while the lightweight titanium models are more expensive. Also, they’re typically not permitted for use during fire bans.
