#2 PLAN
Heed the old adage that if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail. Step one is to ensure you get all your draw applications in on time. Next, study the regulations—knowing them inside out and taking note of any changes will make you a better and safer hunter. Also consider when you want to hunt. Coordinate plans with your hunting partners to ensure you’ve all agreed on the dates, then get the go-head you need from work and home before inking them into your calendar.
