#1 DON’T STOP LEARNING

A wildlife biologist by profession, Dave (above) set out from year one to learn everything he could about muskies and muskie fishing, turning his desire and passion into a living experiment. At first, he followed all the conventional best practices, and after three years he’d amassed an enviable collection of rods, reels and lures. What Dave hadn’t collected, however, was an honest to goodness muskie. In year four, as his knowledge of muskie hunting grew, he boated four fish. Since then, his track record has steadily improved, and over the last couple of years, Dave has averaged a muskie of 38 inches or longer every three and a half hours.
