Why we chose it

Lake trout; Lots of islands and shoals, and fish weighing up to five pounds

When to fish: The action is good from May through October, though it’s best in cooler weather.

Where to fish: Fish around the many islands and work the drop-offs.

Tip: Slowly troll spoons at slightly varying speeds, following an S-pattern. Bigger trout prefer Coyotes, FSTs or Wablers.
