Don’t Miss the Spring Fishing and Boat Show

It is that time of year again when, even though there is snow on the ground, the air is cold and many Canadian anglers are enjoying perfect ice fishing conditions, you can start to feel warmth in the sun.

And with Wiarton Willie predicting an early spring this year, it won’t be long before we’re pulling the boats out of bed and putting them on the water.

All of this can only mean one thing: it is time for the Toronto Spring Fishing and Boat Show.  The annual event is the brain child of Andy and Vita Pallotta, two folks who give so tirelessly to the outdoor community.  And this year’s Show promises to be bigger and better than ever.

As usual, many of Canada’s top fishing professionals like buddy Bob Izumi and Dave Mercer and American stars like James Lindner and Ted Takasaki will be hosting fishing seminars up on the Megatank – but the really exciting news is the presence this year of Kevin Van Dam.

Kevin’s the winningest angler in the history of bass fishing, having won four BASSMASTER Classics and seven Angler of the Year titles.  I’ve had the pleasure of spending time in the boat with Kevin, while working on Outdoor Canada Magazine features and I can tell you flat out, that he is the most talented angler you could ever imagine.  If you’re anywhere near the International Centre on Friday, be sure to catch Kevin’s seminar.

I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Seminars

By the way, the sit down seminars begin at 8:00 AM and will run will for a couple of hours after which time you can enter the Show for free.
