Atlantic salmon; One of the province’s best runs

When to fish: From mid-July to September; the peak is in July.

Where to fish: Start in Bishop’s Falls and work upriver, including spots near the paper mill and power plant.

Tip: Most fish are nabbed on size 6, 8 or 10 wets.
