Gold Standard
The Lodge at Gold River offers easy access to several rivers with runs of purely wild steelhead and salmon, and it’s only 10 kilometres from the saltwater of Muchalat Inlet, which connects to Nootka Sound. The winter steelhead season runs from January to mid-April, while late spring and early summer are great for various trout. Then from summer to early fall, you can fish lakes and rivers for sockeye and trout, and troll Nootka Sound for salmon. The steelhead run again from September to mid-November. The Lodge offers guests a variety of angling packages including heli-fishing fly-outs, and supplies all the gear, including Sage rods and Simms waders.
