Walleye Jigging Jackpot: Early-season Action on Ontario’s Detroit River

While most anglers hit the river to catch walleye, it’s also home to a variety of other species, including freshwater drum (above) and white bass. On our trip, we also incidentally caught, and quickly released, some monster smallmouth and muskie, including a 42-inch bruiser.
