For 2020, Ford has completely rethought this three-row family SUV. It returns to the rear-wheel-drive layout of the very first truck-framed Explorers, but retains the unibody construction of later models. Although the distinctive styling isn’t significantly changed, the handling and towing stability are vastly improved. Ford’s Co-Pilot Assist++ offers several driver-assist technologies, and Canadian families will appreciate the Cold Weather Package, with two rows of heated seats.
