Last Mountain Lake
While Saskatchewan’s Last Mountain Lake is widely known for its winter walleye, whitefish, pike and yellow perch, I like it for its thriving population of burbot. To catch these aggressive winter predators, often found in the same areas as walleye, try a 3/4-ounce Reelbait Flasher jig tipped with a chunk of tullibee or a 1½-ounce Fergie Spoon. Guides Jeff and Jason Matity know where to drill the holes.
