Number of whitetails in Illinois, Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania found to have antibodies in their blood for the virus that causes COVID-19. That represents 40 per cent of the blood samples researchers collected in 2021, raising concerns of deer infecting humans in both the U.S. and nearby Ontario and Quebec.
