Deer in Canada with confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Nasal swabs from 49 whitetails harvested in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick have tested positive since last November, along with three Alberta mule deer. So far, there has only been one suspected deer-to-human transmission.
