Every year during the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show, aka the SHOT Show, the U.S.-based Outdoor Channel hands out its Golden Moose Awards, honouring the best producers and hosts of the various shows appearing on the channel. This year may be a record of sorts, with the lone Canadian in the field, hunting TV star Jim Shockey, picking up a grand total of eight nominations — the most garnered by any one TV personality.
To be presented January 20 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the 11th Annual Golden Moose Awards will be presented in 13 different categories, with the winners selected from among 87 nominees.
