Exclusive video: How to use a baitcasting reel

When we were presenting our fishing seminars on the Outdoor Canada Stage at the Toronto Spring Fishing Show earlier this year, probably the most frequently asked question — by a surprisingly wide margin — from the folks that came up to chat with us afterwards, revolved around the why, when and where of the baitcasting outfits we were using.

Several anglers, too, confessed that they wanted to broaden their fishing experiences by adding baitcasting techniques to their repertoires because they were interested in pursuing much bigger fish like muskies, pike, lake trout and largemouth bass.  Still others wanted to use the bigger baits  and lures they had been reading about, that demand higher torque, leverage and horsepower to present, than the spinning gear they are currently using today.

So, with that as the background, and to answer the many social media questions we have been receiving lately, here is the baitcasting video we promised to produce.  Oh, and if you still have questions, keep the emails and messages coming and we’ll answer them in the says ahead.

In the meantime, enjoy.
