How to cook rabbit like a Culinary Olympic gold medal-winning chef

A couple of weeks ago I posted a video blog with my young grandson, Liam, showing you how to snare snowshoe rabbits in the winter time.  And it seems to have struck a chord, given the number of folks who have contacted me since, to tell me how much fun they’ve been having snaring snowshoes.

At the end of the video, however, you’ll remember that I challenged my good friend and frequent fishing buddy, Cameron Tait to show us how to properly prepare the rewards of our harvest.

Cameron, by the way, is the new culinary food editor for Outdoor Canada magazine and he comes by the title honestly.  Fact of the matter is, he won two gold medals (Chicago and Weimar, Germany) and four silver medals for Canada (Luxembourg, Erfurt, Berlin and Frankfurt) at the Culinary Olympics.

Pretty impressive credentials wouldn’t you say?

So, how did he score with his Rustic Rabbit recipe using one of my snowshoe rabbits?

All I am going to say is, click on the following link and watch him perform his kitchen magic, while I make him another gold medal.
