Tip: Use jigs or spoons.

When to fish: Early July and September.

Where to fish: Sharp-dropping shoreline edges, island points, rock shoals and sand flats.

Tip: Cast spinnerbaits, topwater poppers, in-line spinners, stick worms and tube jigs.
