Many anglers successfully jig for spring whitefish and lakers on southern Ontario’s Lake Simcoe with the same tackle on the same spots they used while ice fishing. The main attraction at this time, however, is the giant wave of jumbo perch working its way north toward Atherley to spawn, recuperate and drift back into the main lake.
