With an average depth of only 11 feet, Ontario’s Lake St. Clair is fairly shallow for an 1,100-square-kilometre waterbody—and that’s just the way the local muskie population seems to like it. Trophies in the 45-inch-plus range are abundant, with multi-fish days typical when trolling the nutrient-rich waters. From mid-summer to the end of October, Captain Jim Fleming has it all dialed right in.
