One Sunday in July, Steve Primrose and his wife went golfing. After 18 holes, they hit Saskatchewan’s Lake Diefenbaker, where his wife landed this beauty of a walleye. As Primrose notes, “Who says fishing in the heat of the day is no good?”
Delaware, Ontario’s Sean McClelland started hunting wild turkeys three years ago, and he shot a jake during his very first season. This past spring, he crossed paths with this beautiful gobbler and accomplished his goal of harvesting his first tom.
Kimberley Slugoski needed a quick shutter finger to capture this memorable photo during a duck hunt on a misty Manitoba morning. In Slugoski’s words, the picture shows “Sara sitting proud while Ember takes the plunge.” Good dogs!
Manitoba university student Justin Goodman spent more time bowhunting than studying last fall during reading week—and he has no regrets. After taking this big white-tailed buck in the southeast of the province, he considers it time well spent.
