Details: Campbell River’s Brian Miller took this shot on his way from work. “In the last light of the evening, I saw this beautiful Roosevelt bull elk and his herd standing in a clearing,” he says. “I quickly pulled over and slowly stalked through the brush to get as close a shot as I could. It’s truly amazing how large these elk are. To see them this close in person is simply amazing.”
