Featuring a tough ripstop nylon shell that’s reinforced with 500D waterproof nylon canvas overlays at the shoulders and sleeves, Eddie Bauer’s Mountain Ops hooded jacket was designed with heli and cat ski operators in mind. However, it would certainly perform equally well on the ice or in the woods. Insulated with 650 fill down, it’s rated to -31°C. Managing editor Bob Sexton has been testing it out during the early cold snap this fall and is so far very impressed, and warm.
