While B.C.’s Columbia River is best known for its rainbow trout fishing, it also boasts some fantastic walleye action. Like most big-river walleye, the Columbia’s fish relate strongly to the bottom, as well as anything that breaks the considerable current. Effective presentations include trolling spinners and half- to 3/4-ounce jigs tipped with soft-plastic worms or grubs behind three-way swivel rigs.
