What do you get when you mate a weedless hollow-body frog with a Whopper Plopper tail spinner? This 4½-inch hybrid lure, created by legendary Japanese tackle designer Hideki Maeda. I’d hesitate to throw the Sprinker Frog into spots where stringy floating grass could bind up the spinning soft-plastic paddletail, but in weedy areas with moderately open stretches, it should be a killer bait for bass and northern pike.
