Fly rods and reels aren’t cheap—and are way more likely to get broken in transit, than on a fish—so it’s wise to protect them. Simms’ new crush- and weather-resistant molded case will do the job. It’s made from compression-molded ballistic nylon, with a clamshell zippered opening to the main compartment, a zippered face pocket and mesh pockets in the lid. It carries up to six 9’6″ four-piece rods and eight reels or spools, held in place with internal straps and dividers.
