QUETICO PROVINCIAL PARK

A two-hour drive west of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Quetico Provincial Park is a 460,000-hectare paradise boasting 2,000 fish-filled lakes. The only mode of travel is by non-motorized canoe or kayak, making for superb fishing, especially for trophy-sized smallmouth bass. Surface baits reign supreme, even in the middle of summer. The laker, pike and walleye action can be equally good.
