Within a minute of arriving at his honey hole on northern Ontario’s Mattagami Lake last May, Ben Eide caught his personal-best walleye, but forgot to weigh it. “It was like the fisherman’s version of buck fever,” he says. “I was so focused on taking a quick picture and getting him back in the water it completely slipped my mind.”
