On her first hunt after completing her hunter safety course, Headingley, Manitoba’s Raina Pollock, 12, took this nice black bear near Rossburn this past September. “In a day and age when young people are more drawn to screens than stands,” says dad Sean Pollock, pictured here with her, “I wanted to express my pride, and her satisfaction, at taking such an awesome animal.”
